Die Firma hat sich 2004 von "TRINAMIC Microchips GmbH" umbenannt in "TRINAMIC Motion Control GmbH & Co. KG".
Die 1998 in Hamburg gegründete TRINAMIC ist ein fabrikfreies Halbleiterunternehmen (Fabless Semiconductor Company). Gefertigt werden die Chips u.a. bei Atmel, AMS, AMIS und X-FAB.
